After looking around for a while, I came across this one sold through Amazon.com-- It's amazing for the price! You get everything you need to start up. The bass itself is perfect for a the beginner, or, one that just needs a spare/back-up bass. It keeps in tune and doesn't buzz like crazy, and, the action is pretty good (can be adjusted with the truss rod).. The book-case sized amp sounds 3X as big as it actually is when cranked to #8-- it's a straight amp so you won't get any distortion or anything fancy with it, but, it's excellent for a student who wants to perfect their tone. I received my shipment in only two days after my order was confirmed- how's that for shipping speed. You get a sort of "dust jacket" styled gig bag, a strap, some picks, the amp, and the bass all in one package- who could ask for anything more? And, for this price... I am very pleased with it so far. Needed some adjustments, but sounds great after adjusting the truss rod a bit, setting intonation, and just slightly raising the pickups. I practice with it daily and am very happy with it, alot of fun. The only issue I had was that the guitar did not have an upper strap pin. I contacted the seller and they quickly shipped out the strap pin free of charge, had the pin in hand the following week. Affordable, plays well, and great customer service. |
